Introduction
The book of 'Izhar al-Haq' or the English version 'Truth Revealed' authored by Rahmat al-Allah al-Hindi is one of the key books defending Islam against Christian missionaries and presents strong counter-arguments against the Bible and its allegedly divine source.
Was the Book corrupted?
I am, myself, a Suni Muslim who loves Saudi Arabia, but we have to say the truth whether we like it or not.
Saudis
want to inform Muslims that all the Shiites believed in the Tahreef
(corruption) of some surahs the Qur’an referring to imam Ali (ra), a notion has to do with the impossibility of
reuniting and stable life with them.
The book in question contains an argument against those who claim some Muslim sects (such as
the Shiites) believe the Qur’an had been corrupted. Rahmatullah argued it is not
the case and presented three long pages defending and discussing the issue and arguing they are only a very tinny minority supported by false dogmatic views but the vast majority of Shiite reject the notion.
These three pages were omitted from the Saudi version as it will break their
spill.
Let’s
see, in the Egyptian version of Cairo (Dar al-Thaqafah al-Deeniyah, Vol. 2, p.
98), it included the three pages start with the red mark:
Similarly,
in another version of al-Tawfiqiyah in Egypt (Vol. 2, p. 181) it contains the same part that starts with the red mark as the whole yellow part is there:
We
can find the same part in the Egyptian version of Dar al-Aqeedah press (Vol. 2,
pp. 126-128) versions of Beirut of al-Maktabah al-Asriyah press (Vol. 2, pp.
206-209) and al-Dar al-Ilmiyah press (Vol. 2, pp. 254-355) as well as the rest
of versions around the world.
On
the contrary, when we review the Saudi version issued by the General Presidency
for Research and Ifta edited by Malakawi (Vol. 3, p. 928), the pages after the
red line are not there:
Three
pages were deleted because they prove the contrary to the false notion
presented to the masses by the modern regime.
Conclusion
The Suadi version of the book 'Izhar al-Haq' omitted three pages for political reasons.
